The concept of Play-Practice-Play is to allow young players to experience the game and game-like situations as much as possible. This approach differs from traditional practices that may have children standing in lines, running laps and participating in drills that don’t resemble the game of soccer.

Stage 1: Play

In the first Play phase, players engage in small-sided games with the primary focus on having fun.

Stage 2: Practice

The goal of the Practice phase is to create an environment filled with opportunities for players to experience and learn about the goal of the training session through repetition.

Stage 3: Play Again!

This phase offers players the opportunity and freedom to play, without interruption, in an environment that mirrors the actual game.

Practices or games may be cancelled at the coach’s discretion.

Soccer can be safely played in a light to moderate rain. We will not play or practice while lightning is visible from the field location.

The format “U followed by age” really means that age and younger. Six or under 6, and player’s born in 2017.

We will meet every Saturday.

Practice is for 50 – 60 minutes.

Under-8s and younger play with a No. 3 ball.

U6 play 3v3. We will play 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4.

The field of play must be rectangular. The length of the touchline must be greater than the length of the goal line. Length: minimum 20 yards maximum 30 yards Width: minimum 15 yards maximum 25 yards.
